he looked fine as usual...nothing out of the ordinary and with the video de presented---marquez---as much respect i have for his legacy and him as a fighter---is in for an ass whooping---

you know---this may seem a little bit weird to some of you and a little out of the pbf ordinary to some of you, but marquez is considered mexico's numero uno and he is by my standards, and recently i have become enthralled with a woman, a singer, a tejano singer who passed away over 14 years ago in corpus christi, texas...a mexican american singer who some of you may know---who was killed in 1995---
march 31st to be exact--who was shot by the president of her fan club member...who was something, nothing short of amazing---who worked her way from the bottom to the top....who became something special amonst many many people....who had something that many people could relate to---passion and dedication to her craft--who was a very angelic spirit and so beautifull and humble and down to earth and approachable----she was introduced to this world as selena quintinilla, and was dismissed from this world as selena quintanilla perez, though most would come to know her simply as selena...she had a huge following in mexico and she died way too young, but what she left us with, was truly immortal, an undying legacy, and juan manuel marquez reminds me of her in a way and seeing how he is going on 36 andshe would be 38 had ne not left this world, i feel he may have followed her and her music...

again, i know this may seem a bit unusual to many of you on here, but maybe he could use her as an inspiration to fight harder than floyd, and i wouldn't put it past him at all, and would cheer his efforts, even though floyd is my all time favorite fighter....because juan has all the intangibles to beat floyd---heart, will, dedication, desire, passion, hARD WORKING ETHICS,---it's just that to me, floyd is the truth in that ring, and i came to this conclusion a long time ago---may he best man win folks...

Actually, that is pretty weird dude. Have you seen the movie "Selena"? If not then you should check it out since you seem to be a fan. J-LO plays her in it and she's phat than a motha too. Thats when all the brothaz was feelin her, atleast after all the fly girl stuff. You probably already saw it though and thats why your into Selena right now. It is a sad story but I dont see the JMM connection much. Really, I thought you were going to say that you expect Floyd to kill him and he may do it literaly so that would be like Selena dying since they both are Mexican, both are #1, and both died tragicaly at a similar age. I dont even want to think about that though but when you 1st started talkin, thats where I thought you were going with the analogy

Thought I was the only one thinking Marquez could actually lose conscienceness in this one.

His work on the mitts didn't impress me. But you're right about the double end bag, that was pretty crazy.

His pad work is as much Roger as him its really just a sideshow , I like Floyds rips on the bag I think people underestimate Floyds body work I reckon he will hurt JMM to the body with something like the beautiful rip that took everything out of Judah .

actually dlt, i knew exactly what i was talking about---i meant the comparison in terms of how hard she worked to get as high as she did , and whatever doors closed in her face---she found another one to open up---that is what i feel mrquez has done in his career---i knew of selena before she was killed---but i hve recently became a huge fan of hers because of how down to earth she was, how talented she was, how humanistic shen was, how kind she was, how internally angelic her spirit was---and yet, she was taken way too early from us---but the analogy of her death to me claiming floyd is going to whoop juan's ass has nothing to do with each other--seriously---i was comparing the hard work she went through to achieve what she did even though it took her a long time-she strived--and the fact that she was a mexican american who had a huge following in mexico, as does jmm----he has also worked very hard to get where he is, even though he hasn't crossed over to mainstream stardom like a de la hoya has---selena was on the verge of the same thing---she was born in texas---he was born in mexico--but the point i was trying to make was even though she died young---what she was about to do could be an inspiration for juan to fight harder---and because they are close in age---he is 36 now, and she would have been 38---and because she had a huge followng in mexico---i feel he followed her music---i coud be wrong--i don't know---but he could us her success story to strive harder, like he's been doing, but to beat floyd, would imo get him that crossover appeal---so i will cheer his efforts, even though i don't see him beating floyd....that's a testament to floyd's craft and marksmanship in the ring---

btw, let me go on record and tell all you mexican amercan fans and mexican fans of boxing---i don't know if you followed selena or know who she is or was, but this woman was amazing---i know this is a boxing form, but i have to let you guys know, whether you like it or not----she was the ****--and i miss her dearly---i just recently turned 23 and she was 23 when she passed---but this woman had it all---so even tough it has been over 14 years since la reina died, i'm keeping her legacy alive forever---rest in peace la reina de tex mex---i'm african american---but but the mxican heritage has produced some of the most hearty talents in the history of this world---so respect to the mexican culture---juan marquez and selena are two special talents---

              good luck juan----

Looked just fine, FYI most of the padwork is usually done at the medium pace, so the fighter tries to do everything as technically perfect as possible.
