Was Naseem Hamed really that good?

He was a clown in the ring. Power but no skill.

Hamed was never hurt by any fighter, all and i do mean ALL his KD's where balance issues due to the way he avoided punches, nobody is going to KO him, certainly not Linares.

MAB, Morales would UD him consistantly but he KO's Pac at FW Pac would have brawled with Hamed at that stage in his career and the last thing you do is exchange with Hamed.

Nas should never be mentioned int the same breathe as PAC, MAB, EM, or JMM... He looked great with sardine cans but once he stepped up, he got run out the sport...

A fighter's greatness is measured by the level of competition he has faced as well as how he deals with adversity... On both counts NAZ has been found wanting...

He was exciting to watch though and its a shame he didn't continue which is why I don't rank him all that great. He ran into a stumbling block and just flat out gave up without even trying again.

He hardly trained for the fight with Barrera, and was unmotivated. By that time Naz had made his money, and boxing was no longer a passion for him.

I'm not saying he would have beaten Barrera if his preperation for the fight was better, but with all his skill and physicial attributes, a well trained Naz is a formidable opponent.

Naz was good and when watching him fight has an amateur you get to appreciate the little thing he did when he was like 12 years old. He just got paid too much money and he wasnt hungry anymore which got to him and made him relax.

You got a lot of IFs going on , the only actual look in this class was Barrera and he made Naz look amateur , that bunch all kick his butt because they are all a class above .
