You can't have any large crowds at Wembley past August as it gets too cold for people to hang out and watch boxing around midnight. Also the money would be half at best compared to the Saudi purses for the two fighters. What's the point of offering step aside money when Fury and AJ TECHNICALLY have no contractual obligation? I'm fighting Wilder if I'm Fury at this point. Revisit site fees / other Venues for the AJ fight for the Fall. I think what everyone (involved with AJ & Fury) ultimately want is the appeal to the UK audience. By December though shouldn't the UK be open enough to pack crowds? I mean we're just coming off 70K attendance at AT&T (in the US). Do they not think by December that Wembley (or any other Stadium) wouldn't be able to pack THAT many people? From what I gather the fight in Saudi was only going to host 20K people with an obvious HUGE fee for tickets. It just seems the aura at Wembley (by December if both win their upcoming fights) would be on historic levels of anticipation.Comment

Wilder is a true king and would never take step aside money. For everyone doubting him it's not too late to jump off the hate train.Comment

Why are people acting like Fury's promises are worth anything? It's either now or neverWilder is a dumbass he should take the money, get a promise he fights the winner with a good cut have a nice ringside VIP weekend in Saudi Arabia sh** talking to the media hyping up him facing the winner
Instead he is going to fight Fury within a few months get battered and his careers as good as overComment

If Wilder took the "step aside" what about the second fight in the AJ Fury contract? Would Joshua then "step aside" or would Fury breach another contract? Or,if he didn't sign this second contract, would Joshua want a one fight deal?
And if you are Wilder, would it be worth aroud 20 million to have one shot at the apple (winner Fury Joshua) as opposd to two? (Wilder could lose against Fury and Fury could lose to Joshua... setting up a Wilder Joshua fight).
And who would wilder fight? And what of the risk of taking step aside and losing, hence losing the chance to fight anyone but Fury, regardless of who wins Fury vs Joshua. What kind of gate would it produce if Wilder is outboxed by Usyk (for example) and now has to sell a fight against Fury?
In most scenarios I see Wilder is better off fighting Fury. He gets free publickity from the Joshua Fury fight. Also, Fury's fans all seem to be invested in the idea that Bomb Squad wants revenge... how would it look if he took that cash?
I think unless there is some heavy pressure applied, an offer that cannot be refused, Wilder would prefer to fight the Gypsy King.Comment

Well... the different alphabets and boxing councils often don't have teeth, but a court of law or agent of the courts does have teeth. The penalty to make Wilder whole, if this other fight goes on, would probably not benefit fury.
He's going to take the step aside one way or another. Courts cannot make Fury fight wilder, they can only make him pay, in the form of damages, for not fighting him which would be a breach of contract. But what would that be? 40 mi in damages?. And that's what they would pay him to step aside. Saudi's down care about an injunction issued in the U.S., they would pay the money anyway, and Fury would be liable for the damages. Wilder can not stop the Fury/A.J. fight, he can only get paid for it taking place. The only problem is that the WBC would not be allowed to sanction the fight, so it would not be for the undisputed championship, and punitive damages could be granted.Comment

that would actually be hilarious though LOL.
i can just picture wilder's face and all the ldbc channels taking over youtube for a while.
it would be bad though, opening a whole can of worms...but whyte would be his mandatory too until mauricio sulaiman creates a new loophole.

Fury is a 6’9” 275 lb light on his feet great boxer. And really should win the fight easily. But I’m not sure Fury is as hungry as he was last go around.Comment
