Cotto is light skinned but he has afro PR in him, by his family, you can easily tell ... and when he used to have an afro in between fights in his early career, lol when he used to get braids...Trinidad, Benitez, hell even I have Afro in me, my mother is a light skin Puerto Rican and my father is a black puerto rican and im proud of my culture, it's very interesting

My mother is from the island and is mostly black, me and cotto have very similar features and i have been raised as a black american most of my life.

To answer this thread, i think its the culture of fighting i dont really attribute it much to race.
