Wilder will kill any interest from the Networks

After Andy Ruiz bombed on PPV why do fans want Wilder to fight? It's obvious the networks told PBC we don't want Wilder fighting on PPV, it doesn't bring us income and he's not a marketable fighter. I mean if he fights the networks will do what the American public does and get rid of the platforms for boxing. Why not let Wilder sit for three more years when his contract expires and if he still wants to fight let him. Why sabotage the rest of the US boxing market for Deontay Wilder who's overpaid and not marketable?

Not every fight has to be on PPV, Wilder can take short money (He did that for 95% of his career), and fight on regular TV.

Am glad the Mexican fans didn’t put too much into the Ruiz/Arreola fight, because it was a travesty trying to sell that fight as a PPV. And trying to use the Mexican fans as usual.

Some of these boxers would have to take less fight to fight on free TV, or see their PPV bombing like the Charlo doubleheader one.

Even BT sport are now into MMA/UFC, which I have now become a fan of over the last 16 months. Because they actually give competitive March ups. The issue is that they don’t have to pay those guys as much, their owners run a tight ship.

Boxers earn more and fight lesser competitions, which turns the fans off. And the constant promotional politics that some of them like to play, which prevents massive sales and revenue.

For example Crawford v Spence. So American boxing media, fans etc need to get their acts together, because they are one of the major reasons that boxing is failing in America.

the only problem with boxing nowadays is that you watch the fight to see how it ends , but you already know the results before hand since there are no competitive fights most of the time.

Then the Divas fixing fights before they get into the ring with clauses, strange weights , etc.

Well it's fun to dream but the highest known boxing media member with presence is Max Kellerman which should tell how popular boxing is. Go to the US gyms which I have and you'll see zula classes more than you'll see boxers. Once Atlas started talking about MMA boxing in the US timetable is coming soon just no one wants to admit US boxing done not when they send subpar athletes to the Olympics

              Spot on!

Since the end of the Pac/May fiasco and the utter disgrace of a PPV that was, I switched over to MMA and in the last 2 years, maybe 3, I've watched and followed a lot more MMA than boxing. The sport can't even get the low weight fighters to fight each other, let alone the top guys in heavier divisions.

Tbf the heavyweight division has actually done well. AJ by fighting Fury will have fought all the top heavies of the last decade. Fury fought Wilder and Whyte has fought the top contenders/former challengers. Thats more than what the welters and middles have done.

Showtime is also into MMA now. They're even promoting it and show clips of it on Showtime boxing.
You can be sure many of their boxing programs that include established fighters would be on PPV.
Why? Well, according to Espinoza himself, PPV is a tool to make fights that can't otherwise be made happen.
Meaning, such fighters want huge paychecks that networks can't afford.
So the solution is to tell them the fight would have to be on PPV, which is music to these greedy clowns' ears.
The thing these clowns can't comprehend is PPV's are no longer attractive to viewers. They'd rather stream for free.

Lol, what? FOX has it in their contract with PBC that they have to show a certain number of PPVs a year. And Ruiz/Arreola did as expected. No one was though that match up was going to do big numbers. The Charlo brothers card for the amount of guaranteed money the fighters had on that card did worst as the Ruiz/Arreola card featured a bunch of UC fighters making just decent money.

Wilder is on hold as many others in the HW division until Joshua/Fury gets finalized. Once that gets finalized, he will likely have an opponent and date shortly after.
