Yeah, he actually made the fight easier in the very few moments he created a bit of distance and let his shots go from there, but it only lasted a few seconds at a time

Nery has never been that good. He looked garbage in his previous fight, I think it was on a Charlo undercard.

he also misses weight more than Benavidez and Tank. Probably only fighting at 122 because he was undisciplined, probably didn’t fancy Inoue at 118 either.

Nery had barely beaten anyone useful but for some reason people thought he could beat a guy like Inoue, I think some people had a problem with the thought of a Japanese midget smoking a supposed Mexican warrior (drug cheat).

Had he fought Inoue, It would’ve looked like the Emmanuel Rodriguez fight. People said he was going to beat Inoue and ended up getting cleaned out in 2 rounds.
