So I wonder if they are just using the fight being too costly as a front but just not really wanting the fight in the first place?
Definitely a strong possibility of that.

Like if you were somewhat serious wouldn't you keep in touch with Team Porter?

Whatever, give me the Ortiz Jr fight then.

Crawford's career is becoming seriously underwhelming at this point.

Bud promoter doesn't see this fight as very profitable right now FAIR ENOUGH! My issue is fans so eager to accuse fighters of Ducking when OFTEN times and this is PROOF...a lot of decisions are made FOR FIGHTERS without them being involved especially when signed to a Old School Promoter like Bob Arum

Arum don't care about Unification, P4P or none of that, it is all about what can potentially make HIM and Top Rank the Most Money and as Promoters, YEAH that is their jab basically is the FIND THE MONEY!

Nah I'm agreeing with you. I mean its TR. They don't usually put their top guys in vs guys from other platforms in one offs that stand a solid chance at winning unless its a huge fooking fight. And while Bud vs Showtime Shawn is a big fight its not Manny vs Floyd or anything & if Showtime Shawn wins he's walking right back to PBC which is no good for TR.

Come on bro, this is ALL on Crawford. He hasn't wanted it from day 1, anyone can see that. Its on Bud at the end of the day,hes the 1 who didn't do anything to get this fight made

(as usual, doesn't want to sacrifice anything whatsoever & uses Top Rank to hide behind,& the corrupt WBO has it in their rules that he doesn't have mandatory obligations like the other WBO champs do.

So as long as Top Rank says they have a network conflict,Buds free to duck threats for eternity as I've been saying in countless threads with proof. Bud is not the fighter his fans think he is,he has been happy & will stay happy fighting in Omaha vs has beens & never was's.

Its a damn shame, another overhyped career wasting prime.

Top Rank is not going to pay the premium for Crawford-Porter unless he extends his contract beyond this year. If the Ortiz fight fits in the range of what they want to pay and Crawford accepts (which is not a sure thing with him being on the brink of ending his TR contract), they’ll make it; if not, he’ll stay on the shelf until his contract ends unless ESPN pressures them into getting him a fight before then (which will be a cheap, stay busy level fight)

Look for Crawford to sign or have a working relationship with Hearn or PBC as soon as his contract ends.

You might be right I just don't know, it doesn't seem as if Arum give fighters options this is not a "Promoter Work For The Boxer" type of deal with Arum. He Call the shots and if he says "No Budget For Crawford..." then it is really nothing Bud can do. At the same time, yeah Bud does seem very passive when it come to fighting Porter, he was like that from the beginning of all this that is true

We shall see how things play out, his deal is suppose to be up in October, we know Arum is NOT going to renew his deal for the Guaranteed 3 Million or whatever so if he Re-signs then yeah I'm done with it
