Yes it is good. Its fantastic. At 147 it is solid at worst. Calling good fighters bums is what haters do. All those "bum fighters" were solid top 10 guys and some even held belts.

I also find it interesting that somebody else had to point out that Pacquiao beat Thurman at 147.

That is what people call a blanket statement.

What's so good about it ?

I guarantee you, if you were not a Pac fan, you'd think otherwise.

      ''Fantastic''...........sheesh

LOL so what you saying? Pacquiao was just an average overhyped fighter with an average overhyped resume?

Nope they sure don't. I agree with you. Problem is nob heads who look at that resume and call good fighters and champions and ex champions bums to try to diminish that resume. But the resume don't lie, you do.

Why did you forget to mention him beating Thurman?

                  If you're done name calling.....

I mentioned it in the ''Is Nelo on Pac Level'' thread.

                  https://www.boxingscene.com/forums/b...-ability-level

I gave my assessment to all of Pac's fights from DLH on.

                  What is it with fans.

''I don't think such and such has a good resume.''
''Oh YEAH ??? Well (enter a personal jab) !''

Thurman was an alright W. A huge step up from his previous opponents.

And that is why your posts are not credible. Your posts have an agenda. To make your point you neglect to mention what could possibly be seen as his best victory at the weight and then try to defend it by saying you mentioned it in a different thread.

You fail to lay out all the facts and you are calling top 10 ranked fighters including champions and ex champions as "bums".

Just face it, pro fighters, ex pro fighters, trainers, coaches, critics, media, promoters all class Pacquiao as one of the greatest fighters, and some little turd on a forum who won't lay out the facts correctly thinks otherwise. I feel the same as all the credible ppl from within the sport. If you feel that makes me a fanboy thej so be it but to me you just coming across as a liar and a Hater.

Dela Hoya at the tail end of his Career
Hatton who was already KTFO by Mayweather
Weight drained and dehydrated Miguel Cotto with catchweight
Weight drained and dehydrated Margarito with catchweight
                      A shot shane mosley
Got KTFO by 40yr old Marquez
                      Bradley thrice
                      Clottey (Yildirim 2.0)
                      Rios (Yildirim 3.0)
                      Algeiri (Yildirim 4.0)
                      Vargas
                      Matthyse(Fielding 2.0)
                      Broner

All in all when you take a closer look Manny's resume is not very impressive. He did not fought a Golovkin level opponent at 147.
It’s easy to put a negative spin on a fighter’s resume so let me counter with an objective view:

De La Hoya was a huge favorite going into the fight. Perhaps Oscar came in too low but that doesn’t take away from what everyone expected at the time. Manny was the underdog and it’s easy to forget that in hindsight.

Ricky Hatton was past his peak but he wasn’t completely shot either. Also, the Mayweather loss wasn’t so brutal that Hatton didn’t have success afterwards. Ricky actually won a unification over Paulie Malignaggi at 140 after losing to Floyd

Cotto was also slightly past peak but he was still very good and he won titles after the Pacquiao fight. As for the weight, they agreed on it and Cotto started at 140 so I don’t think that’s why he lost. He landed good shots on Manny; it’s just that Pacquiao overwhelmed him.

Tim Bradley is borderline HOF and Manny arguably won all three fights. He definitely won their trilogy definitively

How was Antonio Margarito drained at 150 when his best weight was 147? It anytime he had three less pounds to lose and Marg never really fought at 154.

I will give you Shane Mosley

You talk about the Marquez KO as if they didn’t fight three times before that. With Manny winning twice and getting a draw.

Clottey, Rios and Algieri all won world titles so how could they possibly be equal to a guy who never did in Avni Yildirim?

Vargas and Broner are both better than Rocky Fielding and clearly this was just an attempt to discredit Manny Pacquiao.
