How good was Michael Moorer?

moorer gets no credit for beating a dead holyfield........

light heavy he was a beast in power, very slick southpaw, and was able to handle punches better, not great, just better. but at heavy weight, he was better than average in a slowly fading heavyweight division, the beggining of the end, and his chin was at the C level when he was trying to fight guys at the A level..........


his fight with bert cooper was a classic........... that one always pops in my head when i think about moorer............. don't know why either.

Tyson would take his head off. Moorer didn't have a great chin. I think all three would knock him out but he could probably catch Lewis with a lucky punch and ko him, ala McCall and Rahman. Holyfield knocked him out, while Bowe and Lewis survived everything that Holyfield threw at them. Tyson was a different fighter when he fought Holyfield. A prime Tyson would have taken Moorer out early because Moorer would never back out of a slugfest.

Holyfield didn't knock him out. He finished the round and then the doctor stopped the fight.
