I'll root for Taylor next week.
    Tank would never fight Taylor

he fights for Regular titles and claims to be a world champ. He’s never gone after the best fighters in the division, why would he start now? Maybe it’s not his fault and maybe his backers have no true belief in him. When have they ever made a real effort to fight the best?

“he’s still young”, he’s approaching his late 20’s soon

        Weak ass, historically meek division.
Another Euro bumfeast on Eddie's dime it is. Ryder is my pick.
I dont get why you are one of the most critical poster here for everyone besides davis and katie taylor.

I dont mind the barrios fight because he is moving up in weight, but davis run since he won vs pedraza (solid win) has been pretty poor and if another fighter fought this type of opposition you probably would **** on it.

If Canelo wins all 4 belts then he's the best at his weight.

That's something I can't say about Tank Davis. He might be but he might not.

Andrade won't do that though. He's a weirdo like that.

Anything Andrade "should" do, he doesn't and then goes about it a harder way.

I also don't think Plant would take a fight with Andrade because he will see it as a minimal beneficial fight.

Does Plant even earn that much right now?

Like, without Canelo, does plant even earn over 3 million a fight?

Spence earned 8 million guaranteed + ppv revenue against Danny G.
Danny G earned 5 million + a share of ppv revenue.
Crawford made 4 million for Brook and 5.5 million for Khan. (both guaranteed)

Plant doesn't even fight guys equal to Crawford's washed up, has-been opponents. Does he even make more than 3 million a fight to be getting anything near that range?

Seems like Canelo would give him the Mayweather treatment of, "You get a flat 10 million. I take everything else."

Does Plant even generate numbers for that matter? He's really one of these obscure talents even if "we" know of him. Casuals sure in the hell don't.

They took it off a few days later. Imagine if Davis wanted to get help with getting all the belts? He's indifferent. That's why I'm a fan of his. I despise all the current belts equally.
Ehh. Davis isn't really maximizing the potential of his career either though.

Belts also generate interest and money on top of that.

Why do you think Mayweather always sought to secure the WBC belt? Its recognition brings a lot of intrinsic value to his earnings but also career.

Davis is doing a lot of hopping around without maximizing earnings nor legacy. So in the long run, he's just hurting himself.

It's actually why I don't understand many of these new boxers now days. Canelo is doing the right moves; he's setting history for himself and in untapped territory for Mexicans. Spence is securing and maximizing the potential of his earnings. Fury already had lineal and now maximizing that by unifying.

These dudes like Shakur, Davis, Ryan, Teo etc. they just sit on their ass wasting away. Dudes like Crawford, Charlo bros, Andrade who "I just fight who they put in front of me" are also wasting away.

Maximize that money man. In maximizing the money, it's gonna maximize the legacy by default but not always the other way around tbh.

Canelo is #1 at 168 now & was before he took BJS's belt.

Canelo isn't avoiding GGG. Those two also will never fight. Zero interest in that one for me. I think GGG already has other plans for his next few retirement fights.

I'd love to see Canelo mix it up with the African American boxers between 154 and 160, at 160. Canelo-Lubin I'd even pay PPV for it.
I would LOVE to see Canelo gt in the ring with Lubin, J Roc, Jermell, Harrison or Hurd. These are the type of good challenging fights that we need.
