    hilarious.
We don't know that for sure until he releases xrays like Brook did. I am merely saying so far we know that BJS quit by his own volition(& his own definition of quitting),we know he & Hearn said he broke his eye,but no proof released,no pics of him since, etc.

If he releases proof in any way then we can blame the Dr for being an incompetent malpracticing clown, but until then I have to side with the Dr(I am in the medical Field (I have certs as a paramedic, among other trades entirely that I'm nat registry, such as phlebotomist,& several others)

I am no expert on eye injuries but I personally have had my face look like mince meat worse than mickey Rourkes several times without quitting in street brawls & have a permanent giant gash across the back of my head from a beer bottle that didn't phase me(I thought the blood was beer),so I'm 1 tough sob if I say so myself, ive even broke my knuckles on teeth,BUT I wouldn't begrudge BJS for quitting if his eye socket was actually broken causing him to lose vision.

(I say IF it caused him to lose vision because its hard for a fighter to even know what eye injury he has UNLESS it causes him to lose his eyesight as BJS claimed,if a fighter doesn't lose vision & quits for a injury that looks like BJS that had just happened, then its shameful imho

,Kell Brooks corner threw in the towel, but he didn't quit & his eye was definitely broken. BJS as Teddy Atlas himself says is TBD,I will gladly say he did the right thing IF he at least saves face by showing proof(least he can do after prior comments no?)

Everyone saw him say "no" fifty times. I had put it on mute because my son woke up literally right after the uppercut landed, so I was feeding him standing inches from the TV. I thought Billy was shaking his head "no" saying he wasn't hurt, then suddenly they were waiving the fight off.

Basically I'm a bit sceptical on this one because its BJS who has lied twice before to get out of Murray fight.(that alone makes me suspect of him til proven otherwise, especially because theres huge incentive to save face by saying his eye broke instead of"eye quit"

I also am not at all sympathetic to BJS after his response to every other fighter,& what a wanker he is in general.

Yeah, he did that trying to get the GGG fight when he fought Canelo, right? I seem to remember him pulling out of another one for a BS reason too.

It would fall under the category of "extraordinary" if BJ managed to fake an injury like this. Its entirely possible but would need some pretty solid proof.

You have medical training so...what did you think of the photo of the swelling iron on his eye? I have heard some say it was shadowed suggesting the injury, but I have no knowledge sufficient to make a call like that. Do you think it looked like the orbital was smashed?

Yeah I definitiely think Billy Joe asked for the stoppage. His corner also came out very late with that explanation lol. I can imagine them contriving it in a local pub... Lol. to save face (pardon the pun) for BJ.

Thats what I'm saying,he deserves scrutiny,it makes you wonder how many quitters have faked injury the same way.(Robert Garcia,& several other prominent names have questioned the validity of BJS injuries,Atlas too wants to see the Xrays, everyone is rightfully suspect of Billy,I believe if you talk sht, you should back it up

,BjS has made it seem he stands for bravery, honor,& never say quit attitude, thats why his fans backed him,if he doesn't show actual proof from the Drs office. He should bow head in shame after all that bs hes been talking (I don't believe in participation trophies for valor, either you did or you didn't.

I don't believe he should be talked about like poor Billy,he hasn't earned that yet.

That's what I've been saying to people. I boxed (Amateurs) and I've always said I'd never call a guy a bum, or criticize someone for quitting. That said, Billy made his bed.

Even if BJS demanded to go out it would have been negligence from both the doctor and corner to let him.

People are just holding BJS to the standards he holds everyone else too and before he quit on his stool, the standard he said he held himself too.

He quit before the doctor even checked on him. The doctor was not even involved in the stoppage. The decision and critique of the injury was all made between Saunders and his trainer. The doctor was not even included. As soon as the referee came to the Saunder's corner the decision was already made and the trainer immediately turned around and told the ref that the fight is over and that Saunders is done. There was no discussion between the ref and doctor in which they decide to stop the fight. Davidson and Saunders did not plead with the ref or the doctor nor did they get the ref or doctor to back up their injury claim that is why the stoppage in the corner caught everyone by surprise because the doctor or ref were not involved.
