I think he could but it wouldn’t be a smart move IMO. He looked very tired after the Jacob’s fight, like he was tight at the weight. He has no reason to go down either. He’s the man in boxing at the moment, he can just demand fighters come and meet him at 168.
Makes you laugh at all those years when ODLH and GBP were saying he wasn’t big enough to go and fight GGG at 160 when they were doing that Canelo weight schtick at 155.
Also makes you wonder how much he was cutting to make 154 in 2016, Canelo isn’t tall but his frame his huge for a guy his height.

very thick no ****
I’ve ran by David Benavidez several times at the beach. He doesn’t look very big nor physically imposing irlComment

I met Benavidez at a convention in Vegas, he’s a relatively tall guy but as you said doesn’t look that physically imposing, he would have been like 21 when I seen him though, he should fill out as he gets older. I think he’ll end up at 175 in the near future.Comment

He could but not easily and it would have to be for a huge fight. I don’t see anyone at 160 that makes it worth it that he couldn’t just make come up to 168.
When you have earned cash cow status then you don’t give up any advantages. They come to you or no fight.Comment

catchweight for a super fight?
Errol tears through 154 and 160
him and Alv settle on a 165 fight

Errol is a big strong guy but I'm not sure where this narrative of Errol beating the top guys at 154, let alone 160. He's a great fighter, and I rank him #1 at 147 but he's there for a reason. He wouldn't be big at 154 and at 160 he would be at a disadvantage as the guys there are not only taller and longer, but also have bigger frames too.Comment

Easily. he was 160 less than 2 years ago. He' 5'8" for crying out loud.
Spence and Canelo could do like a 162 and it would be easy for both of them. Spence walks around at 190, loads of pro fights at 154, fought in the amateurs at 152. This isn't a hard fight to make.Comment

I thought that was BS even back then. He could have fought at 160 and he would have if it was a weaker challenge.I think he could but it wouldn’t be a smart move IMO. I see Errol doing well at 154 and maxing out at 160 based on his frame
