Comments Thread For: Warren on Joshua Deal: If Fury Gets Certain Assurances, He'll Put Pen To Paper

Frank Warren, co-promoter for WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, says the unification with Anthony Joshua would have to take place on August 14. On Tuesday, Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn had mentioned two tentative dates, August 7 and August 14 - with event being staged in Saudi Arabia.

It seems that Team Fury is no longer interested in the fight. They must have lost the arbitration to Deontay Wilder or something. That's why Frank Warren threw in that July date for Tyson Fury to fight as an alternative to AJ. This stunt he's pulling now is some of the lamest and weirdest shit I've ever seen. "If Fury gets certain assurances he'll put pen to paper" now what the Hell exactly does that supposed to mean? No they don't want the fight. Obviously, they want out but at this point they don't know how to because Eddie Hearn has come through with all of the promises he has made to them.

Nobody knows what’s going on behind closed doors obviously the promoters are going to say what sounds best for their fighters reputations both Hearn and Warren I’m just tired of all this **** at this point just fight or don’t and stop holding up the division.

Bingo! Well said! You are one hundred percent accurate. It's so obvious that they are stalling for a reason. It shouldn't be that hard for Tyson Fury to sign the damn contract now since they have both a venue and a date.

Didn't Hearn and AJ want the same guarantees from Wilder when they were offered $50 million? Fury's not trying to get scammed by this snake oil salesman Hearn.

Apparently that Canelo's uppercut made Fury lose his pen.
