Comments Thread For: Jermall Charlo-Juan Macias Montiel Card 6/19 Headed To Toyota Center In Houston

Jermall Charlo's next fight in his hometown will be held in a bigger building than his previous appearance in Houston. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that Charlo's middleweight fight against Juan Macias Montiel on June 19 will headline a card at Toyota Center, the home arena of the NBA's Houston Rockets. Charlo's last fight in Houston, a 12-round, unanimous decision victory over Brandon Adams in June 2019, was the main event at the smaller NRG Arena, near NRG Stadium, the Houston Texans' home stadium.

Another scrub for the Charlo's. Could be Andrade, but no, another nobody.

Charlo could’ve kept the momentum going after his last performance, but he decided to take this type of matchup instead. He seems content on fighting low-tier opposition.

These two might share the same DNA but only Jermell has the heart to fight top competition.

This is really disappointing. And we’ve seen this often from PBC. not doing Charlo any favors. Valuable time in his career is being wasted on gimme low profile defenses

The undercard is better than the main event.

Why doesn't Al Haymon book Charlo vs. Benavidez? Or Charlo vs. Plant?

For everyone out there who is still ****** enough to believe that Bud is the one who won't fight Porter or Spence.

Waste of time and money. Charlo beats another non-established name, then what?
When the fight is over some folks who still care about this sport will have to wait for another six to nine months
and start wondering who he's going to fight again next. Repeat and rinse.
