Yup this is what happened. Andrades own network didn't want him to fight canelo. Even then, canelo got stripped of the ibf because the negotiations with derevyanchenko fell through. So it wouldn't have been Undisputed.
This is true. I believe at the time they wanted to do the Andrade fight in September then circle back to the Derv fight in December.
Then Derv takes the same money to lose to GGG and that was the end of that.
