How does a small framed Mexican middleweight get HW KO power?

Is it something in the food?

the "mexican" style of late has morphed a bit. less punches thrown, more power, front foot fighting.

Small framed? If he's small what's large framed? Or you just mixing up height with size?

Canelo reminds me of Marquez 2.0 to be honest. He’s just the middleweight version.

Leverage, he perfected his punching techinque. Only reason BJS eye got messed up is because he came down to the perfect placement so canelo uppercut to be peak power.

He doesn't have one punck ko. Much less heavyweight power. What he does have, a granite chin and doesn't get discouraged easy

Add to that great timing. I think he finds it far easier to time and land his biggest shots against bigger, slower opponents.

This little mexican walking down and bullying bigger fighters like it’s nothing looks dodgy as f.
