Look at his career the last few years. Dude really wasn't planning on doing much after the Canelo fight anyways. He got his one big payday he was looking for and now he's likely to walk away in a year or so. Saunders is known to be getting out of shape in between camps and was content on fighting inferior competition for years. He's not going to get motivated all of a sudden and try to get back to the top. Probably will look for one marquee fight and that's it, win or lose.Comment

Honestly, nothing about his career says that he will come back from this loss motivated to get back to the top. Fair point on he was maybe looking forward to a Canelo rematch and another pay day. But do I see him trying to fight the likes of Ryder or Morrell to get back in the title hunt? Nah.
Again doe I guess my main point is I'd be surprised if a 31 year old guy who's been at the tip top of 2 divisions now, without being #1, never fights again cuz he lost for the first time. I suspect there is too much competitive spirit to go out on a L & too much opportunity for more money doing the only thing he's ever did on the table still. Granted there isn't likely to be another Canelo sized check, but there is 100% millions of dollars on the table for him still. Him being out of shape for fights he didn't care about doesn't imply to me he doesn't wanna fight it implies to me he's not excited by the fights he was getting while waiting to cash his Canelo ticket in. I think his first L could alter his whole mindset with motivation or other things. But yea it could also make him realize he doesn't wanna do this anymore & he does hang them up. But of the two options the least likely one is we've seen the last of BJS in the ring...assume he can fight again cuz some have suggested this injury could end his career or put long term quality of life risks on him if he fights again.Comment

Idk why he wouldn't if he wants to & can continue fighting. It tends to be easier to get back into a title when you've had a title before anyway. But idk about Ryder or Morrell either. BJS can make UK friendly fights for years to come. Besides the obvious Fury vs AJ & Khan vs Brook fights, BJS vs Eubank Jr II is maybe the most wanted all UK fight fans wanna see. There are plenty of "Prizefighting" type fights for him regardless of the title situation if he were to wanna take that route.

I don't know man, I think this could be the injection (no pun intended) of motivation he needs for his career.. a lot of ppl who aren't clenelo **** riders had him either slightly up on the cards or drawing.. yea eventually nelo caught him but he had him hitting air and was landing on him pretty frequently although with no real power but I think his pride will make him try climb back up and push for a rematch, I very much doubt he could win, it will probs be the same outcome but maybe in the championship rounds or even make it to a decision which in everyone else's minds would be really close but on the judges cards would be wide as f, as too many ppl have vested interest in nelo winning in boxing to not give him the decision in close fights
BJS had his chance and got stopped. No shame in that but he can forget getting Canelo in the ring again.Comment

He won’t be out for a long time , he will be out for good , he’s made his money and this were a cash out , guys like him do not have the desire to come back from adversity and defeats like that .. he’s been chasing the cash out for years . What’s he gonna do ? He don’t sell tickets ? He’s not media friendly and he won’t after chasing and earning his biggest purse come back for a lot less money and work his way up , forget all this crap “ I’ll fight for glory and for nothing “ ... no he’s retired as of Saturday nightComment

You all can say this or say that but what in the heck was in Alvarez's gloves to do that? If it's just power, it's very surprising power. Makes me wonder what keeps his hands from breaking with such power. He is truly a big puncher with power if everything is up and up. If so, he's a great fighter. Or do English fighters just have weak faces? On to Plant.
The Zygomatic bone is the most injury prone on the face and especially if you are ******ity putting your face in a horrible angle to take a full on uppercut at full force.
Here is a medical video that shows you some details of BJS injury: https://********/cEshBdFqsg4Comment
