    Billy Joe Saunders Wins

    My prediction.

He turns Canelo all night and out boxes him

If bjs stands in front of Canelo, he's toast. If he gets caught on the ropes, he's toast.

I like bjs in-fighting but wouldn't recommend it against Canelo. Canelos body shots are debilitating to say the least plus his feinting game is amazing. He feints really well to land knockout body hooks and left hooks to the head.

Also, Canelo fights really well as a counter puncher and mixes his shots up very well. He comes back with multiple shots. The chance of a knock out shot by Canelo is a big threat.

That being said, he is and always has been a flat footed fighter. A good stick and move boxer beats him.

Garcia vs Herrera is an example.

BJS wins on points unless the fix is in and they rob him.

I'm hoping so. I expect a Decent fight, I expect Saunders to give him his best work since the Golovkin fights but Saunders is going to have to be at his very best just to play a part.

I don't think this is going to age well but you'll look like a genius if you're right.

          BJS does welll early

          slow mid fight

          Canelo wins 6/8 rounds

          Billie wins 5/6 rounds

Judges give it clearly to Canelo even though it was a close fight

This right here. Saunders doesn't have the power to hurt Canelo and that's probably the only thing that will sway the judges.

              Forgetting the judges...

BJS on points or Canelo by late body shot stoppage.

I can't see it going any other way. Canelo is an excellent boxer. He's not a fast mover, but he's a smart mover. He could spend the night setting traps and counter punching to a decision but I don't think he will. I think he'll give up rounds to hit BJS hard to the body.

Feels like both fighters will be happy with that style... and then it's a case of the best man wins.

I just don’t see him stopping Saunders. Saunders doesn’t fit in to the category of Canelo stoppages.

Canelo doesn’t stop anyone world level that isn’t shot to bits or hasn’t been stopped easier before. His knockouts are Kovalev that had been stopped twice in his previous four fights. Fielding that got stopped in 1 round by Smith, Khan that couldn’t even take a punch at lightweight, Yildirim that got stopped quicker by Eubank, Kirkland who was previously stopped in 1 round by a Japanese journeyman Ishida. When Canelo fights good opponents that have no real history of being stopped, he never even looks like dropping them, never mind stopping them. I mean you could say Liam Smith but he’s no Saunders and Canelo was a weight bully then anyway, dropping back down from middleweight.

i mean anything can happen in boxing if you catch them right, but weighing it all up and ignoring the hype, there’s a very high % chance it’s a distance fight.

Saunders at his best is a good boxer, but this version of Canelo is elite.

BJS can't KO him and i don't see him dominating enough to win a decision in Texas.

I think you're going to have to be your own judge here, and it won't surprise me if Saunders wins the majority of rounds. He won't likely hurt Canelo, but Saunders has never been knocked down, so I'm not entirely sure Canelo will get the KO a lot of people think he will. Saunders is pretty elusive and has a good chin. This has potential to be a very interesting fight. I hope Saunders brings his best game.
