Some fans can't let it go

I Like Canelo but NO VERSION OF CANELO beats any version of Mayweather. Just a AWFUL stylistic match up for Canelo and it should be ZERO shame in that but instead fans and their PRIDE just cannot accept Defeat

Yes he was OLD and way past it but because he did not take much punishment through out his career he was still SHARP AF late in his career

F%CK your feelings, emotions and PRIDE it mean absolutely nothing in boxing and you cannot somehow channel that sh%t through your favorite fighter and give him some type of extra boost to win a fight lol that is the problem of becoming too emotional attached fans do become that delusional

Doesn't matter. Father Time always catches up. Your reflexes and speed diminish over time.

Canelo was much closer to his prime than Mayweather was. If you think differently then you obviously know nothing about boxing.

There is absolutely no evidence that Canelo is "10 times" the fighter he was then either. He fights the exact same way.

Exactly. The people guilty of that should be embarrassed by their emotional attachment to boxers. They have no shame with their comical post.

No version of Canelo has ever beaten Mayweather. When it mattered Mayweather beat Canelo easily. Those are the facts and that's all that matters. Your fantasies can never be proven and they're meaningless.

Meh Floyd never fought anybody near Floyd’s skill level 23 (or his whole career)

Genaro Hernandez was an elite champion and Floyd with 17 fights under his belt schooled him.

Canelo was an undefeated WC with 42 wins and Mayweather was a former LW at 36 yrs old, do the role reversal and have the same fight only Floyd is 23 and Canelo is 36, Floyd would beat the sht out of him , its a bad matchup for Canelo at any time.

It does matter. Age is not the only thing that affects a fighter’s prime. How much wear and tear he has taken, how many tough fights he has been in, will age him quicker than a couple of birthdays. He never took much wear and tear since he never fought elite level opponents at their best.

He’s still the same flat footed fighter, but with better head movement. Put him in the ring with a mover that doesn’t stand in front of him and you’ll see
