Its just yet too soon to make conclusions Canelo still being active fighter and at least 4-5years left in the tank inevitably he will need to move back up to LHW and try beat couple champs there regain a belt or two if it is with beterviev, benavidez or bivol even better now hes certainly on the goat path so far best resume in actual boxing hands down gotta say only time will tell

Canelo is a surefire HOFer, and clearly the current P4P best. I imagine he has a lot left to add to his resume, so the book is still open to where he will land. That being written, there is one big problem with his resume as it currently stands, that I don't know if the sands of time will erase or diminish: age of his opponents.

Look at the opponents he fought over the past decade who were 35 or older when he fought them: Floyd, Cotto, GGG 1, GGG 2, Mosley, Kovalev. Those are mostly (if not all) HOFers and the biggest names on his resume- all over 35 when he fought them, and on average a decade his senior on the night of the fight. Who are his best wins against prime (under 35) fighters? Lara, Trout, Jacobs, Khan, Chavez Jr. Not bad, but not quite as eye-popping as the first list.

Once again, a great fighter, but lets not act like his resume wasn't padded on picking off post prime fighters.
