Did Antonio Margarito make a huge mistake taking on Shane Mosley?

After his destruction of Cotto, Margarito was on top of the world, and could have had any fight he wanted in the WW division. I was in the minority that chose Mosley to win even though I was rooting for Margarito in the fight. I thought the speedy style clinching, and superior strength of Mosley would win it for him. I really thought he should have fought Berto in a fight he would have easily won, or Clottey in a fight that he would have probably won by SD since Ghanaian fighters are never awarded close decisions. Even if Margarito had fought Williams (he would have lost), but it would have been a close UD loss, and not a one way ass whupping annihilation.

Margarito always wanted to take on the best. It's just the kind of guy he was.

No, its what we expect of champions, win or lose.

Only a fraud wouldn't want to face the best to prove hes the best.

I applaud him for taking on the best comp. If he loses, so be it.

No because Margo is a warrior. But I knew Mosley would win and one of the few. I thought Mosley's underated body work would be a key. Plus you can take to many flush shots from him

Well since he got the crap kicked out of him, then yeah, in retrospect it wasn't a good decision.

But for the biggest money fights out there, which he wanted, it was either Mosley or a Williams rematch (I figured a Cotto rematch would've been either May or June of this year had Margo won).
