"They" have been trying to make Canelo the new golden boy ever since that judge scored the Mayweather fight a draw. Commentators going overboard with praise/acknowledging a pro-Canelo agenda (if you take HBO's commentary as gospel, you'd think he was owed a decision just for being the aggressor, and was a few bodyshots away from stopping GGG in the rematch), getting the benefit of the doubt from the judges in the vast majority of close fights, the media glossing over scandals (look how many articles have tried to excuse his failed drug test), etc.

The only thing missing from the red-headed DLH is Lampley/Merchant swooning and Foreman talking about his shoulders/claiming his jab is better than Quartey's. Paulie is 100% right. As long as fights are scored in ways that benefit the biggest $ makers, as opposed to...actually scoring for who won the fight, boxing will be dismissed as corrupt, and for good reason.

if canelo can get a draw against floyd in a fight where he didnt even win more than 1 round then NO ONE can get a decision against him. cards will always be rigged. they were rigged against trout, rigged agains lara, rigged agains ggg twice, rigged agains jacobs and they will be rigged against saunders.
