I do not like Canelo Alverez AT ALL. Here is why.

Eh whether you like Canelo or dislike him, he is serious business and a fantastic fighter/boxer. When Canelo fights we are watching him win or lose.

His resume is pretty good. He is not afraid of a challenge. He will go in the history books as one of the greats.

I don’t blame him for not wanting a third fight with ggg. That would be like admitting he didn’t deserve to be ahead. He can only lose more ground than he gained in a way. I think Canelo has improved and ggg has regressed. I thought ggg won the first fight. The second fight could be a draw, but Canelo improved more than ggg did, so that’s how it goes, and I’m fine with it. Neither fight was spectacular in my opinion. If anything they stymied each other.

This guy has been gifted some BS decisions, he got caught cheating TWICE and gave a weak excuse, he refused fighting GGG a third time which is a blatant duck. He's been fighting complete bums lately and bullied a drunk alcoholic into fighting him on short notice. And on top of all of that, he's been begging to fight Mayweather for a second time. Give me a break.

I give a lot more credit to guys like Spence, Wilder, Charlo bros and even to Crawford to a certain extent.

Canelo does not impress me at all.

The clenbuterol found in his system was consistent with eating tainted meat, which is a real thing in Mexico. His hair follicle test came up negative. He has gone on to do VADA testing and has fought even better while "clean" than when he was supposedly "cheating."

What gift decisions do you think he has received? Were they in close fights where reasonable people could have scored for either guy?
