Typical coward brit. Hopefully Canelo stops giving those cowards a payday after this fight.
BJS is doing his part imo! HE CONTROVERSY IS CREATING A BUZZ!

For me this fight is not about, can Billy Joe Saunders win?
It is about 'Can Canelo Alvarez teach billy Joe Saunders how to lose?' When you face undefeated professional fighters who are champions in their own right, that is what you have to do.
I personally think Alvarez will win, I can envision Saunders winning a few rounds then dropping off and becoming too static.
But I will state this? I think Saunders will empty his tank in this fight, and leave it all in the ring.
I thought Calum Smith could of done better vs Alvarez, at-least implemented a better game plan 'It was a terrible game plan, for such a fighter of his stature'.

He took fight at five weeks notice for the money
Have you watch that DAZN interview with Saunders? He talks about how you can’t go into a fight with Canelo with five weeks preparation like Smith, not physically but mentally.
That they will fly you over and before you know it you are running around doing media and then in the ring and you haven’t had time to really prepare for the fight.
Smith took the opportunity because he may never get it again. He would never beat Canelo anyway but I don’t believe he really felt he could, not deep down. It was a big payday and try his luck why he’s at it.
saunders is there to win, make no mistake about that.Comment

Maybe Smith underrated how hard the task would be, I think? His brothers would of known, and sensed 'If he doubted he could win'. When I watched all the interviews with the brothers, I myself could not pick up on anything 'They all thought he could win'.

I think Smith underrated how big of a task it was to beat Alvarez 'He is 6"4 and a big puncher, I honestly think he did not quite understand what he was facing'.
Saunders has sat back and watched Alvarez, he knows what is coming for him. I think he is bothered by Alvarez, and that is why he has prepared so meticulous.
Yes I think this is it for Saunders, I don't really see him as a long reigning champion 'He will most likely empty his tank in this fight'.
If he wins, that could be it 'Who knows'.

Yeah I get the feeling the Smith camp didn’t see you can either as a true super middleweight and underestimated his ability.

Another thing about Callum Smith is I don’t think he actually loves boxing. His brother Liam last year was saying Callum might retire if he can’t get a big fight. Joe Gallagher has said a few days ago that Smith could retire.
If his brother was already thinking it last year, It’s not out of the question that he took the fight at five weeks notice for money with retirement in his mind. He wouldn’t beat Canelo anyway but that’s not the point.
For all BJS flaws and lack of dedication in his time, Boxing is clearly in his blood and background. He’s been doing it since age 5. A few weeks ago he put on his Instagram story a video of him in an actual fight in a ring when he was 5. I don’t think he would ever get beaten easily and not leave it in the ring. I just don’t think he’s made like that.Comment
