Is Saunders really going to pull out because he isn't getting a 22ft ring? The offer of a 20ft ring being rejected flat out?
That is some poor form from his team there.
1. It's not 16 or 18 he's being offered.
2. Wether it was specified in the contract or not, he's signed a contract, the matter likely won't end well for him if he does.
3. They seem to be misjudging their negotiations terribly.
4. It's a bad look. A really bad look.
5. The phone isn't going to be ringing excitedly with great price offers for his WBO belt.
6. There have been a million too many excuses already.
7. Who'll want to listen to him whining about how he was ripped off blah blah?
8. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. He's had so much time to train and think about the fight. Just get on with it. And prove a point by winning however the deck is stacked.
9. If he pulls out, he should also retire straight away, so we don't have to listen to the whining and watch them try to sell more lacklustre fights against uninspiring competition.
10. He can complain, but the truth is, life isn't fair and boxing is even tougher. And even worse, he knows that perfectly well.
So show up or bail out and step the eff back to make room for someone who will give their all.
Too many divas these days. And for boxing, that's embarrassing.
11. I was looking forward to seeing Saunders give his very best and showing everyone what he can really do.
