is marquez really a "tune up" or is it a classic case of treading water till the real threats lose.

Well if Marquez is as great as everyone thinks....he should have no problem adjusting.....

    Mayweather didnt

Did you forget that Floyd retired when he had a rematch
with Oscar on the table for $20Mil? That was easy money
right there BUT Oscar didn't want to pay Mayweather more
$ even though he didn't beat Floyd so Floyd retired and let
himself heal up. IF Cotto would have beaten Margarito
Floyd would have been coming back for him and not Pac
because remember, Oscar was looking at Cotto not Pac
as a challenger but Cotto lost.

And remember, prior to that, Floyd moved up to 154
and fought Oscar for his title. I highly doubt that
Floyd is scared of Cotto? We all know Floyd tried
to fight Mosley twice and that is documented
        .
yea when he looked shot. when mosley is on top he suddenly forgets who he is. wouldn't he want to finally get in the ring with mosley and settle this instead of acting like a prepubescent lil boy.

Floyd tried to fight Mosley YEARS!!!! ago when Mosley was in his
prime, how was he shot? Mosley told Oscar to beat Floyd and send
him the left overs? Jin NEVER wanted Mosley to step in the ring
with Floyd and she was his manager. Mosley didn't want Floyd
because he felt Floyd wasn't a big name but now Floyd is the
man and Mosley expects Floyd to jump up and give him a shot?
Floyd tried to settle everything back when Mosley and Oscar was
                  running things.

they seriously don't know they just say lil catch phrases that sound snappy. my baldomir-zsolt analogy was dead on. cept its actually offensive to zsolt to compare him to that beached whale baldomir.
