Probably go with what bookies do. A corner retirement between round 8 and 9 is always paid out as KO round 8.

Result is KO8 for a mid round stoppage unfortunately... Depriving me of a perfect score to go with my winnings from Pandas giveaway.

Funny thing is I think - but ain't sure - that if the fighter answers the bell but the ref or doctor decides they ain't fit to continue they usually call it for 0:00 of the following round in which case it woulda been KO9. Either way we go with the official result.KO8. Canelo KO MID

The messed up thing as usual was I changed my x3 pick from mid to late because even though I said from day 1 8th rd ko,I switched to late at last min because I thought Billy might survive to 9th rd & it ended up being I was right but still didn't get max pts Because of technicality.(reminds me of Naverrete getting the 12th rd ko when I picked Diaz to survive but lose Wide)(I was literally seconds away)

Ha ha I learned over the years that my first instincts are the right ones more often than not. I'm a chronic second guesser by nature both in stuff like this and IRL but I usually manage to restrain my impulses to mess more often than not these days.

Listening to your first instinct is the way to go. If you observe the results over time you can even get better at interpreting that instinct.
