Pretty sure Zale never fought Robinson. I'd have to check to be sure but I don't think the timelines would add up. Ray was a welter while Tony was at his best and didn't move up to middle till Zale was already past it.
You could be right maybe I'm thinking of Zale's most famous rival Graziano. I'm sure SRR fought one of them around the end of their career.
He was the middleweight champion in the late 1940's
he was inducted into the international boxing hall of fame in 1990.
