I thought about that, but it would have to be a massive conspiracy because fighters from all over Mexico with different trainers and in gyms far apart are all fighting with stamina toughness etc. I think it's more likely that it's become the national sport and produces high level fighters, sort of like hockey here. High level competition and training across the country equals better athletes.
