I played cards with people who would bid the max just to keep anyone else from getting the bid. 150 million from a guy getting sued over 35 million? Eddy can use the bid as a future talking point. As in, Fury refused 150 million, so we had to fight Willy for less.

The truth is that both are to blame. They both tried to make the fight while both knew that the Wilder situation was not sorted.

Bob said it wouldn't be a problem. How would Hearn know if it would or wouldn't, he doesn't know what's in the contracts, all he had to go on is Bob's word. So if it falls apart because of Wilder, that's ALL Bob, he wasted everyone's time.

Decades of knowledge, yes. But can you imagine trying to deal with someone who acts this way?

Arum, January 2021: "I don’t want to get into any legalities, but the idea of anyone stopping the Fury – Joshua fight, it just can’t happen."

Arum, January 2021: "Tyson Fury has said to me and the mediator: ‘Not today, not tomorrow, and not ever will he ever fight Wilder after what Wilder said to him'."

Arum, April 2021: "Maybe we’ll breathe some life into Wilder, and Fury will fight Wilder."

There's only one way to make the fight and that's try -- you don't try, you say it can't happen, well, it won't happen.

At least Hearn is trying. That it's proving tricky to finalise such a mammoth deal in the middle of a pandemic is really not all that hard to believe. Ideally we wouldn't have all this back and forth and Hearn has actually come out and said sorry for it dragging on. Perhaps Arum could say sorry for trying to *** up the fight a lot of people want to see?

This arbitration/mediation has been going on for 5/6 months. If it was cut and dry, with nothing to worry about, it probably would've been decided by now. A smarter man would've sat back and waited for the smoke to clear, and conducted his own business, instead of trying to broker multi-million dollar deals with a guy in court.

Bob lies, we all know as much, he's admitted he's a liar. So why he mad when he lies? The funny thing is, many ordinary posters on this site have pointed out for months. Fury would have to fight Wilder again. If Eddie was ****** enough to put his business on hold, to trust Bob Arum, he deserved what he's getting.

He shouldn't have tried to snake the Champ.

Idiots like Barrett and Redumber... Poor poor fast Eddie!! Arum is evil and logically according to Hegalian Logic that makes Fast Eddie really good. You cannot make this crap up... the naivete its freakin engagin! Promoters are there to promote, they will, naturally tie up a negotiation as long as they can. Good, bad... makes no difference. hearns has every reason in the world to try to delay as he gets this done, and if it does not get done? he can at least blame Arum. Arum would do the same. No promoter says "well my actions are less than virtious perhaps I should inform the other party this is not a done deal."

Hearns and Arum are behaving exactly as one would expect. Hearns is dealing with contingencies and they probably are so that the fight will come later. It would be great if he gets it done.

I will say: It is interesting how after visiting arbitration Arum became more insistent about the cut off. this could be coincidental, or, perhaps there was a provision in favor of Wilder. But why would chisora of all people know about this?

Bob used to be a lawyer. The lawyer said it wouldn't be a problem. You wouldn't think a promoter would waste other promoters, networks, sites, his fighter and the fans time if he wasn't certain.

Ideally indeed. Again, its promoters being true to form. Hearns has no allegiance to Arum. He will do what he can to tie things up, leverage his attempts at putting this together. Arum knows Hearns will do this which is why he is skeptical. He does not want Hearn to have leverage over his interests. If Arum agrees with Hearn it will give hearn too much leverage and allow him to drag out the proposal to a point where it is harmful to Fury.

Its not a personal vendetta. People on all the fight sites seem to think this negotiation is an attitude problem, No... it is a negotiation and each party has to protect its interests.

What kind of snake plans a fight with a guy who's in court over a fight owed to another guy? Hearn is getting exactly what he deserves.
erm ... the snake who believed the word of another snake who said that Wilder's case didn't have a leg to slither on
