Honestly, at 23, vs a 36 year old past prime Hall of Famer/legend, that is your time to shine. That’s where you get rid of the old boxers. Changing of guard. And he failed. It really doesn’t get any better that for a young fighter. You get the opportunity, you take it, and you win.

I am big Canelo fan, but if he was ever going to beat Mayweather, it would have been that night. Before 23, he was too young, and Floyd maybe would’ve been in his prime. After 23, Floyd waits til Canelo gets in his prime, then Floyd would be way too old. Canelo got the sweet spot. He got the version of Floyd that was ripe for the taking for him. He should have taken the fight to him instead of trying to play chess.

A mere 8 months after that, Maidana gave Floyd the toughest, most grueling fight since Castillo I. That is because Maidana came to fight, brawl, make it a dog fight. Canelo need to just admit that their style is boxing/tactical/patience...which is what Floyd is the best at. Canelo is not a brawler, never has been. No age or version of Canelo would ever fight with the style needed to come close to beating Floyd.

Tl;dr: Floyd was an old, past prime, athlete who had 1 or 2 years left in his tank and Canelo blew the win by fighting his fight. And ffs, Floyd had no business fighting above 147lbs. Floyd was extremely featherfisted at 147 as is. The guy was 12-0 with 3 KO’s, at 147. That is Malignaggi territory. Canelo could have gone all out with very little risk in terms of getting caught with a huge punch that KO’s him. He blew it.

Canelo's posture after Floyd schooled him was similar to a disciple bowing to the Buddha, literally. He should leave that one alone in his interviews. The only way he can talk about Floyd, boxingwise, is in reverence, as he's been.

Keep it up, bro. I'm still a fan.

I'm loving the Saniesa avatar, new energy. Davis will never cease to be my favorite fighter as long as I'm a boxing fan. I'll put him on when he fights next.

Sure Davis is a great fighter and perhaps you’re from Baltimore…Davis has a nice story too having been an orphan and such and becoming a talent. But Floyd and Ellerbe were all about themselves. That’s how it is in rap purple syrup culture. Floyd grew up lower class but from the Midwest. Not as tough as Davis. Still, Floyd held no responsibility to prioritize on Tank. Forget Broner, Tank was genuine TMT signed. I even said Tank should’ve been comain for Floyd’s Paul show to help Davis who is need of help considering convictions. Suit yourself you gravitate or relate to that energy.

regarding Estrada. She’s sexy as foooook. She’s like a J-Lo and she would definitely get a facial… tongue all out too

Graham Bensinger brought Floyd’s next fight. Canelo was even respectful to say let them do what they want it’s about money. Graham asked him, prime for prime who would win. Canelo responded. Canelo didn’t bring any of it up! Lol

and most forums members agree with what Canelo said. A drained 152 Canelo at 23 is a different fighter than a prime Canelo

Can you point to where Canelo says he was drained, I cant seem to find him saying that.

Thanks for the good words for Gervonta.

I'm sure you read my critique of Haymon and Floyd on here many times. I never liked the way Davis was promoted. But now with the Barrios fight, I know people will see what Davis is made of. He's a body artist, so my boy Barrios better prepare for that. I prefer the Barrios fight to all the lightweights. It's more of a challenge.

Against Barrios, people will see Davis in higher gears. I never saw him in 4th gear yet. Barrios is a big challenge.

mayweather was 36 years old and 16 pounds smaller than canelo

canelo had his chance. For what its worth, 38 year old mayweather still beats 25 year old canelo at 154.

Mayweather wasnt in his prime either. His physical prime was back down at 135 so its pointless argument for canelo to say hey if i was 30 and in my physical prime at 168 i could beat a physically prime 135 pound mayweather.

He was offered his shot and he arguably lost every single round. He tried to counter mayweather from the outside which is a disastrous strategy, same as marquez who was also shut out on the cards. Not until canelo developed his high guard walking down secondary style would he have been more effective and that was years later really in the GGG fights.

By the way, Gervonta is one of Canelo's biggest fans.

I don't know if you saw Floyd-Chavez, both in their primes, at 130. If Canelo was Chavez, fight would've been less competitive. I love Jesus Chavez. That's Floyd's prime, or Corrales.
