Comes to a point that the big stars don't need a promotional company, all they do is leech. They promoted the fighter but the fighter did their part to win so they made money along the way and are not owed anything. Canelo did what most superstar do and left these companies control. Too much nonsense in the fine print.

This was a damning interview. Think about it, a fighter who has made more money than any other boxer outside of Mayweather and Pac just torched their former employer.
Canelo is starting to really dig into Oscar as of late. I wonder if it's one of those things where he just wants to finally let out all of the dirty secrets or if he knows that the chapter between himself and Oscar isn't quite closed yet. Either way I hope Oscar doesn't go off the rails and once again go back to his vices.
If I was Oscar I would take a real hard look at the structure of my company and I ask myself, how can a fighter who I just made close to/if not more than 9 figures in this sport, completely $h!t on my company? Oscar needs to move on I think from Eric Gomez, get Bernard Hopkins to become way more involved in the day to day, and figure out the future of his company. He has a lot of up and coming talent on his youthful roster. It's time to get more dates and find a way to sign/work with at least 2 established world champions to continue the rebuild again of Golden Boy Promotions.

Everything said about Canelo and DAZN is exactly what I said here since 2018. Canelo haters would say, “how did Canelo not know he wasn’t going to fight GGG if he got all that money.” Lol
GGG signing to DAZN was after all of that

I’m glad fans are seeing the light with the people’s champ. Much skepticism towards Canelo was because he was GBP and fans created narratives that amplified into nonsense.
in the end, fans get the truth. Never doubted the politics surrounding Canelo. He’s unfortunate state was because he was with GBP. People wanted Canelo to lose to GGG because industry lost respect for GBP.
i wish the writers would acknowledge this because they know the nature of blacklists

So 30 million was enough to fight bums like Fielding, but you need 50 to fight anybody with a pulse?
You signed a 12 fight, 360 million deal...that means 30 a fight. Surely, if Dazn can pay you to fight bums like Fielding, and lose money, they expect an actual good fight every once in a while.
Notice there was never an issue until Dazn wanted this idiot to take a paycut, because he was only interested in bum bashes.
Now everything he said about Oscar is probably true.El_Mero likes this.

Canelo was paid EXTREMELY WELL.. he needs to STFU & quit acting like Oscar did something to him.. Canelo makes everything personal with Oscar as if he’s some scorned woman.. same thing Canelo did with Sulaiman.. Canelo is not the juice of the sport anymore.. TRILLER has the juice now.. STFU & fight the scrubs at 168, NO ONE CARESEl_Mero likes this.
