I still find it mind boggling that Dana goes public to criticize Jon Jones for wanting $10 million as if he's doing something wrong. In boxing $10 million is NOTHING. For a company that's supposed to be this giant machine I don't understand how the UFC still cannot pay fighters what they deserve

10 mil was reasonable. Then there was talk of 30 mil, which is not. At the end of the day hes intentionally pricing himself out because hes scared.

if the UFC was paying 7-8 figures every time they needed a main event, they would not be producing deep cards and you would not be seeing big fights frequently.

MMA fans are something else. They are the only fans I've seen who side with the promoter over the fighters. Who has ever seen a boxing fan side with Bob Arum over a fighter?

I think many boxers are overpaid, good for them but keep in mind Gary Russell jr turned down a million dollars payday recently.

                I don't feel he's worth that.

Boxing has been around for ages. It’s a sport not a league like ufc. Ufc wants nothing to do with the boxing format, they went with the WWE format. It makes all the sense for Dana White and the shareholders. I know Dana works hard but he takes no punches. I’d love to see what his actual cut is out each card. Ufc fighters are expendable. Mma is a sport where it’s so hard to go undefeated or string long titles defences together. So it’s hard to build superstars or super fights. In boxing your career has to be managed carefully. Losing is a big big deal. You lose once even in your first fight you will never get a payday like Floyd’s. People paid to see if he would lose. You had to be there. Too much parity in mma to really build up to anything massive like boxing.

                    He's right.

Dana White is basically a slave driver like Vince McMahon.

Literally the only thing that I like about boxing over any other sport is the ability for it's athletes(Floyd, Canelo, Oscar) to be able to be able to own the means of production that their blood, sweat, and tears built.

White could easily pay MMA fighters better AND deliver great fights the same way the NBA, NFL, or soccer leagues deliver a product the fans like and allow players to be paid handsomely.

Not all boxers are paid equally.
Guess how much undercard fighters are paid.
