These triller fight cards, if you can call them that, are a complete circus but so are most UFC events. Most of their fighters look like they're straight out of a mental institution. Participants in combat sports are not generally regarded as the most intelligent individuals in the world but a lot of the UFC fighters seem certifiably insane. I don't know what they're on other than the typical PEDs but a lot of them seem borderline psychotic in interviews. Some of them may be in character I suppose. They remind me of coked up old school WWF characters like the Ultimate Warrior.

Maybe in North America but not worldwide. When was the last UFC card that had 80,000 fans in attendance? Without covid-19, AJ-Fury would probably do more than that. Why do UFC fighters like McMuffin and Askren go over to boxing? Because they make more money that way.Comment

Since Floyd/Pac 6 years ago theres been 7 boxing PPVs that have broken a million buys vs 11 UFC PPVs. Three of those boxing PPVs (incidentally the biggest three) have very little to do with actual current boxing, of the 6 people in the main events 3 are retired old boxers and 3 are not boxers at all, two are MMA fighters.
All fights/cards that have broken 500k buys since Floyd/Pac -
Floyd vs MMA fighter - 4.3m
Khabib/Conor - 2.4m
Conor/Diaz 2 - 1.6m
Conor/Poirier 2 - 1.6m
Tyson/RJJ - 1.6m
Paul/Askren - estimated between 1.2-1.6m
Conor/Cowboy - 1.3m
Conor/Diaz - 1.3m
Conor/Alvarez - 1.3m
Usman/Masvidal 1 - 1.3m
Canelo/GGG 1 - 1.3m
Conor/Aldo - 1.2m
Rousey/Holm - 1.1m
Rousey/Nunes - 1.1m
Canelo/GGG 2 - 1.1m
Wilder/Fury 2 - 1.2m
Canelo/JCC jr - 1m
UFC 200 - 1m
Ronda/Correia - 900k
GSP/Bisping - 875k
DC/Jones 2 - 860k
Conor/Mendes - 825k
Adesanya/Jan - 800k
Jones/Gus 2 - 700k
Adesanya/Costa - 700k
Ferguson/Gaethje - 700k
Khabib/Gaethje - 675k
Jones/Smith - 650k
Stipe/DC 3 - 500k
Pac/Thurman - 500k
Boxing has 8, including 3 freakshows, the UFC has 22. Boxing has 13 different names involved in the main events (including 3 retired fighters, 2 MMA fighters and a Youtuber) while the UFC has 28 and all of them are actual MMA fighters.
The UFC has already generated more PPV buys in the opening third of this year than boxing did in the whole of 2020, and almost half of boxings entire PPV buys in 2020 came from a Mike Tyson exhibition fight.
The UFC consistently outdraws Top Rank on the same network. As far as global viewers go we can only speculate but its pretty logical to think that the UFC is getting more viewers worldwide most weekends than a typical PBC, Top Rank, Matchroom etc card because those are much smaller regional/domestic promotions.
Conor is objectively the biggest combat sports star since Floyd retired by practically every metric, its not even close. Boxing probably has #2, 3 and 4 with Canelo, Fury and AJ. Most of the rest of the top 10 are UFC fighters, as are most of the top 20, 30 etc etc. The range of names in the PPV numbers I showed already clearly indicates this but if you want further evidence go look at social media followers for fighters in each, or Youtube views etc and observe the very clear trend. The reason for this is the UFC is a much larger platform than PBC, Top Rank etc like I said before. The sport is relatively centralized into that one promotion like its the NFL or NBA of MMA, and it tours around the world frequently, and its got an EA produced video game on the shelves alongside NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, FIFA. EA dropped boxing a decade ago and no other major publisher stepped in.
Because hes an old ex-boxing head in his 50s who grew up with 80s and 90s boxing and originally wanted to get into boxing promotion back when boxing was king and the UFC was small potatoes. Zuffa boxing is never happening anyway, if they really wanted to do it they would have by now. They probably realized what a cluster**** the boxing business is to get into and that if they wanted to make a mark they'd be paying seven figures for guys who draw less than the UFC guys they're paying six figures.
They've had two events so far. One of them was headlined by a Youtuber vs an MMA fighter, on the undercard it had another MMA fighter. I wouldnt be surprised if the majority of people ordering the PPV didnt even know who Prograis was. The other had MIKE ****ING TYSON vs RJJ in it. The upcoming one is largely based on an exhibition fight with Holyfield. If your argument is boxing is bigger because they are using big names from the 90s when boxing was much bigger than it is today rather than..I dunno...Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock...well, its pretty straw clutching tbh. Its pretty obvious they're trying to draw in MMA fans as well, which is why Jake Paul is at UFC events and trying to play the heel so they will buy his fights hoping to watch him lose.Comment

Built a circus? Seen their PPV #s? At present boxing is a complete circus. Last year almost all UFC PPVs were a million+ buys far surpassing the entirety of boxing. Trust me, boxing is the circus now and everyone knows it. This is why clown car acts displayed by Jake Paul exists.Comment

As for UFC fighters going to boxing, you'll get no argument from me when it comes to the pay. Obviously boxing pays much more.Comment

It already has lol. Almost all their ppvs were a million + buys last year. How many did boxing have? Trust me, MMA has far surpassed boxing in popularity and it’s not even close. Blame the god awful boxing business and promoters for that one.Comment

It did? Based on what? Maybe with Ed Hardy wearing white kids, tell me about what PPV records does UFC holds, or the networks showing fights, PPV records are held by boxing, True global combat superstars are all boxers, revenue is on boxing side. If UFC is so big, why does Fat Dan want to get into the boxing business? Why is Triller putting on fights with old boxers and not old UFC fighters? So yeah, based on what?Comment

I really dont know why everyone is mad at him. He's making money trolling the population. lol. He doesn't bother me. As I've stated last week. If guys like Canelo, Spence, Crawford, the entire LW division were making the fights happen that we all want to see, he wouldn't be a factor.
