  • You can't cry wolf that many times and not expect to be crapped on. No mercy here, none.
You are a 'fighter.' Either snap out of it or retire. Nobody will miss you in boxing.

Maybe on twitter you are a star, but definitely not in real boxing.

Again, good riddance, don't come back.

    • I'm glad this fight fell through. Fortuna is an absolute eye sore and I promised myself I would never watch any of his fights again. If you have insomnia watch fortuna fights.

      • Not surprise of this with all the back and for stuff this guy has with his own promoter and mouth towards fighters that he is clearly ducking. I'm not sure whose more sensitive between him and Alvared. Both of their feelings get hurt easily. Captain and lieutenant fake warriors program

Lol...you're drinking the kool aid bro.....there is ZERO wrong with Ryan Garcia other than the fact that he most likely was going to lose this fight....one thing I found out about the European is that he really loves to lie...like a lot. Lol

After you put it that way....you really have to be an especially weak specimen to be depressed under those aforementioned circumstances.....wow...perfectly said.

              • Mixed feelings on this. No doubt he is under incredible pressure at a young age, and if he already had pre-existing anxiety or other issues the media spotlight is only going to make that harder. As a human being he deserves empathy. But boxing is a tough, harsh sport. You can sacrifice years of your life to practice your skills, push through pain every training session and fight, and it can all be for nothing. You can try and entertain fans, but if you get knocked out cold while your family cry at ring side, people are gonna make gifs of it to laugh at. Guys get killed in the ring. Can he deal with those realities long-term?

Initial view is that in boxing more than any other sport, if you have deep doubts about yourself or you're not certain you want to be doing it at all, that can be the difference between winning and losing. It's not just about being 'right' on the day of the fight, you need to be right all through camp to give yourself the best chance of winning.

Maybe I'm just old. It's as if everyone is emotional nowadays. Ryan and others talking about their mental health issues and Teo crying in that interview a while back, and it seems off to me but maybe it's a generational thing. Teo won his big fight after all and Ryan overcame a real test of heart against Campbell. If a fighter is flawed enough or is looking for a way to lose there are 50 ways to do it but both of them only find ways to win so far.
