You CANT win a fight not throwing punches and being defensive. He didnt do anything offensively. As pretty as his defense was, Hoya was chasing him everywhere. Without Hoya, there is no fight.
    Bingo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought DLH won 7-8 rounds against Trinidad but running like ***** at the end was one of the bigger "WTF" moments in boxing history imo..

Whitaker vs DLH could have gone either way, no robbery.

It's always someone else's fault that Oscar couldn't land punches against good defensive fighters.

Be honest, DLH looked way better against Trinidad than he did against Whitaker. Against Trinidad his offense and defense were fluid. His combinations were smooth and accurate. He looked slick. Against Whitaker, he was frustrated and lost. He got knocked down from a clean counter. He couldn't get punches off. He was hesitant and robotic.

Add it all together man; he got robbed against Trinidad and Whitaker got robbed against him.
ok but what did whitaker do?
nothing, you can't win a fight on defense mode,
I mean that happened to dlh with tito, even though he won 7 rounds so I dont know how he lost that fight, but dlh threw enough punches and landed enough to win the fight against whitaker

DLH/Whitaker was by no stretch of the imagination a robbery, it was a damn close fight that was extremely hard to score. Personaly i dont think either deserved to win the fight but if pressed i would of leaned to ODLH.

I saw Whitaker control the fight with his jab and counter left. It was nice and smooth.

DLH didn't land punches. He didn't. He was lost and confused. Whitaker was in control. I saw the fight. I know what I saw. And to correct you, you can win a fight with defense. It happens often. You can't win a fight when you don't land punches...unless, of course, Bob Arum pays off the judges.

I mean really, 9-3? Are you f'ing kidding me?

Damn close? Really? Then why was it scored 9-3 in DLH's favor?

To tell you the truth Whitaker controlled DLH to the point 9-3 Whitaker would have made sense, but no way in hell DLH won that fight 9-3. But that's what the final score was. DLH was lost and confused. He looked robotic. It foreshadowed the trouble he had with good defense for the rest of his career.
