"I think Mexican boxing is also about knowing how to move, hit, and not get hit,” Canelo said.

"Hit and not get hit," is not Mexican style! Canelo should know better!

those guys were all way more dynamic offensively than canelo and their fights were way more action packed too. They didn’t sacrifice offense for the sake of cautious defense the way canelo does. Pretty much a terrible comparison on your end, makes me wonder if you even watch boxing outside of canelo.

It’s boxing messaging boards such as this one and social media where Mexican boxing fans posted these comments non stop. Even canelo himself had made comments about wanting the Mexican dates when Floyd had them and accused him and other boxers of being boring. Try and keep up little buddy.

Interesting, that’s not what Mexican fans were saying when Floyd was dominating during Mexican holiday weekends. All we heard was how boring he was, how he fought like a coward, how they wanted a Mexican fighter to highlight those dates because they would make for action fights. Wonder what changed everyone’s minds.
Who's mind changed? He was boring, a coward, ran/hugged his way to victories, carefully chose his opponents and gave them unfair disadvantages, had judges, refs and the NSAC in his back pocket, was juiced to the gills, and a closet h0mo.

I believe it helps but not as much as favorable score cards.
