so in my opinion lopez is undisputed. Without the ****** upgrade, devin would still be interim and lopez would hold all the 'true' championship belts. So this 'lopez isn't undisputed till he beats haney makes no sense.TrillScottHeron likes this.

But WBC is the problem. Loma was the actual champ and got elevated.
haney got given a belt by email, where as Lopez beat the guy that was the real WBC champ before the franchise nonsense.
lopez has every right to feel he’s undisputed especially when Haney never won the belt in a fight, it was literally handed to him.
the whole thing is a mess because of the WBC.
so now you have one guy that should really be holding all the belts that he won in title fights. And one guy calling himself the other world champ who never even won a belt in a fight, all because WBC made a new belt.
it’s a joke really. neither is in the wrong. Im siding with Lopez though, simply because Haney never won his in a fight.

The mental gymnastics some of you are doing to defend this fake undisputed status of Teo is getting weird. In boxing, you keep what you kill.
Loma (and/or his handlers) went to the WBC convention and requested Franchise status in order to avoid fighting the interim champion (Haney). The money hungry WBC did what they did best and granted his/their request in order to double the sanctioning fees being collected.
Not Teos fault; not Devins fault, but the fact remains that it is a fractured belt. With the Franchise status being newer, as expected most lean towards the regular WBC belt being considered higher status and recognized as the belt needed to establish undisputed status.
The definition of undisputed is: not disputed or called into question; generally accepted. If it’s not near unanimously understood that one man is the only legit champion in a division, then he’s not undisputed.
When your peers (Taylor) are discrediting your accomplishments unsolicited, you have a problem. I see no reason they can’t/won’t fight to settle this matter, and hopefully it happens if/when they get past the upcoming bouts (which are both great fights)Last edited by TrillScottHeron; 04-22-2021, 12:11 PM.

I thought Lopez KO of Commey was better than anything Haney ever dreamed of, and what is Taylor doing looking at smaller fighters? He's beginning to sound a little insecure, like he's wishing for an easy fight. Even if Haney slaps past Lopez, he's too small to hurt Taylor. It sounds like Taylor is whistling in a graveyard.Last edited by Corelone; 04-22-2021, 12:37 PM.
