Smith was extremely fortunate to edge Vlasov once and the whole point of that was to build towards a unification with Beterbiev. No need to jeopardize something bigger that’s always within reach. If anything, Vlasov deserves a good opportunity in his next fight but it doesn’t have to be an immediate rematch with Smith.
