Eddie probably paid off the ref like he normally does because Andrade was clinching excessively and getting away with it.

What a treat to witness Demetrius masterfully beguile and score on Williams with every weapon in Andrade's arsenal -- I especially appreciated how Andrade probed and learned that Williams guard could be split down the middle : here 'Boo-Boo' fires a cross in between Williams guard ; its usefulness helps Demetrius select a lead uppercut on Liam's chin ; which could not miss throughout the fight.
Liam Williams went to American school of boxing, he wont find that lesson anywhere else.
Could you please teach at these schools not to hold over a thousand times? Could you also teach your refs to take points from them too? It's not just the overseas fighters who should have points taken and DQ'd. It's mostly the Americans who should have them taken. But they're allowed to do anything they want, when they want. Hell, Tyson only got 2 points taken for biting an actual chunk out of Holyfield's ear. If that was a non American, they're getting DQ'd and banned for years. Not 2 points taken.

Said it before and I’ll say it again, outside from the unconventional Fury, today’s British fighters (particularly below heavyweight) other than maybe Taylor and Saunders (when he’s actually an active fighter and not a head case), are as basic as it gets and can’t deal with any fighter with even slightly above average boxing skills. Their best are mainly only good on a domestic level, not world class for the most part.BlackR0bbb likes this.

He talked a good game; he fought about to the level he has been in recent fights I've seen, real strong, he put a lot of pressure and made Andrade work and look disjointed. . Andrade already has a disjointed style and he did quite a bit of holding so it wasn't that pretty at all....but seeing a guy like Andrade have to work harder than usual and bring out his power was nice. Pretty good fight for both,

Yo Sid-Knee, I know u mad! I know you mad because Liam Williams couldn't finish Demetrius Andrade in the ninth round. If it makes you feel any better, I gave Demetrius a B- for that slip, but the layoff had a lot to do with that, it had nothing to do with Williams, stop crying.

Williams was terrible in there. He threw some slow plodding punches and I can’t believe Andrade was going through hell with him.
any fighter from 160-168 who throws punches and has a average chin beats Andrade. Telling you guys Andrade will wilt once you fight back. All those uppercuts he landed couldn’t stop Williams. I don’t think any world class 160-168 will take up Andrade’s power seriously after the 4th round.

I have more respect for guys like Flanagan and Williams than I have for hype jobs like Dubois and Josh Taylor.
