I mean he largely hasn't. He didn't need to. He's an Olympic level wrestler & he was in a secondary tier MMA league for most of his career.

So the take away from this card is....Youtubers are the best fighters on the planet?
LOL I knew this weirdo would show up to defend MMA

Ben cannot box. Punch technique is bad, footwork is bad, he was out of shape and he got blasted out

I'm not gonna act like Jake Paul is a world class boxer because he's not, but Ben Askren is actually as bad a boxer as he looked tonight

I know, his movement was terrible, the way he had his arms out rushing in, his feet movement all over the place, how the F did he win any fights. UFC is absolutely garbage trash, I’ve definitely seen it in a different light now

Yea in fairness I didn't like the stoppage myself either. Sure this is Ben's first boxing match, but this was the main event fight & its not like Ben didn't have fighting experience elsewhere. Idk that anything at all changes, but I think more folks woulda felt like they'd gotten more fight action value if it wouldn't went a lil longer.

It was earlier than it needed to be, but the only thing that woulda happened if that continued was Ben Askren getting stretchered out.

                100% he was overmatched

If it was an MMA match though diff story. Just a different skill set

It's a different sport. Footwork and movement in mma vs boxing is completely different.

Its no different to comparing Pete Sampras to Michael Jordan in a round of golf.

Jake Paul clearly is a better boxer then Ben Askren, but the stoppage was bogus af.

It was weird. I knew he wasn't known to be a puncher, which is fair enough, but I thought he must have a great understanding of combat, defence, and movement, but no, not at all. He was like a pub drunk, right from the off. No skills, in any area, at all. embarrassing to be honest, outclassed in every area by some guy who does YouTube videos.
