I say it all the time, SOME boxing fans (the anti-MMA ones) want to believe that MMA guys are glorified street fighters and that any boxer is supremely skilled and hard hitting in comparison. Then invariably these fights end up being a lot longer and more competitive than they expected and they have to resort to a bunch of coping mechanism excuses about how the boxer for some reason didnt actually want to end the fight but could have at any time if they felt like it lol.

Doesn't matter Steve was never a puncher and he was fighting someone way bigger not that easy to knock someone out in 6 rds if it was 10 rds he would've TKOed him it's like you want to be critical of boxing and see it lose even when Steve just boxed him up with ease.

Exactly right, you got it. I'm a boxing fan first but I love both sports and that narrative needs to change.

Steve Cunningham is a two time IBF champ. What does that tell you about the state of boxing right now? Frank Mir had never boxed, he's a wrestler. Do you think Cunningham could have gone the distance in the cage versus Mir??

Cunningham carried Mir for 6 rounds and made no effort to stop him.

To be fair Mir did do better the Fury in his pro debut at age 41 .

Steve Cunningham was a champion at Cruiserweight you diminishing his achievements shows how much you watch boxing he beat Marco Huck, Guillermo Jones and Wlodarzyck and went to war with Adamek in a losing effort. He also outboxed Mansour at heavyweight undersized when he was undefeated no I don't think he would've gone the distance Mir would've submitted him being a BJJ specialist but do you think if it was a 12 round fight Mir would've lasted?

The well known MMA fanboy TMLT87 is back at it sluping off MMGay on an boxing forum. Cunningham after the fight basically said they didn't even want to hurt eachother because they are friends, but this ufc pumper thinks the fight was legit.

Most of the Mixed Martial Arts fighters do not fight fighters their own size ever.

Mcgregor attempted to pick on Mayweather for example, and was ****** out by somebody giving away 20 pounds on him.

For sure Mixed Martial Arts fighters can fight, I just question their mentality at times.
