  • Genrick: where's Arum's announcement for Crawford?

We're coming up on a month now.

Not a peep from Bob, we know he's working because he's commenting about Fury.

Not a peep from Crawford, we know he's around because he's still cutting interviews saying 50-50 isn't enough for Spence and to stop asking about the fight while BoMac is out there trying to be the voice of reason, selling a Porter win as the key to getting Spence.

So what's the deal with the old man, bro?

I really do not care bro. Like I have repeatedly stated, if it's not Spence I really do not give a rat's ass.
Just like I do not care who Spence fights if it is not Crawford.
Man, I dislike that guy so much with his wrong side of the street nonsense; with his silly PBC loyalty crap
as if he's a Google employee or one of these giant tech companies.

This Spence guy should be blasted day in and day out on social media.

Crawford is the one who should be blasted. He doesn't deserve a 50-50 split based on his financials.

I'm a fan of both but I think Bud's ego will prevent it if the fight doesn't happen. There's really no sound argument for a 50/50 split. Bud has some career achievements and his p4p status but nothing that translates to economics such as PPV and purse split. Add to the fact that Spence would have 3 of the 4 belts by then, it just doesn't add up.

I also think Bud being locked into his high minimum with top rank has made him reluctant to negotiate anything that wouldn't be a substantial guaranteed increase for that fight and a 70/30 or 60/40 split might not clear enough in his opinion. This isn't exactly Mayweather-Pacquiao in terms of money.

Yeah we should be hearing things around now. Can’t someone get Arum on the blower?

Why aren’t you upset with the fact that Joshua-Fury hasn’t been made yet?

They’ve been in negotiations for over a year and people on both sides have both said an announcement is coming any second throughout the process.

This is the correct answer, of course.

I just question what Arum's angle really is. Saying you have a "big PPV announcement" for Crawford and then silence while you go off and attend to Tyson Fury's needs, how is that a good look for Crawford?

You trash the guy publicly and say you're losing money on him and he betrayed you to PBC (which nullifies genrick's rant about Spence and PBC, because if Crawford did talk to PBC, it means he's actually trying to do what's necessary...though I think that's a lie from Arum).

Then you're focusing all your attention on Fury. You're not hyping Herring, he seems to be doing it himself, you're not hyping the guy who's supposed to be your #1 P4P.

So I see a pattern here. That's what I'm calling out.

I gave up on Crawford several years ago

I wanted to like him. A switch hitter can be interesting. He never fought anyone decent, his run at 147 was a waste
