What does America think of AJ vs Fury?? Is it a BIG fight?

Here in the UK, AJ vs fury is massive for obvious reasons and will be the biggest sporting event in uk history. Hearn says he thinks it will get 3million PPV buys in the UK, the record at the moment is 1.1million I think which was AJ vs Klitschko.

But, how does America and Americans view this fight? With no American involved do they still see it as a must watch fight, is there much hype and anticipation? Will it sell a lot of PPVs in America?

It could potentially be the biggest fight EVER. Especially when you consider how Tyson Fury sells his fights during the press conferences and the build up to fight night.

It is a big fight for hardcore US fans but it won't sell PPVs here. I don't know too many casuals talking about this fight.

For a true boxing fan, regardless of nationality, it should be huge, as any unification championship should be.
For Americans who are not a fan of boxing, it will be a headline forgotten within minutes.

The PPV numbers will really come down to whether its held in the UK or the US, the buys in one of those markets will obviously take a hit by it being hosted in the other. If it happens on US soil I reckon the ceiling for American buys would be around a million.

Casuals fans are sheep, once the piper starts playing they will get in line.

All the hardcore fans will be on tune and the sheep will follow.

Just a shame the Saudi stadium atmosphere will be DEAD.

It means little in America. Only hardcore fans think it is big. Casuals would just say, "meh!"

It's the biggest fight within the div. Neither would be gatekeepers in the Holy, Bowe, Lennox,Tua era.

                - -Deyonce couldn't draw his weight in paper bags. Americans could care less about two Brits, but the Brits and international fans all in, so it does decent #s

Nobody i know is taalking about it. Not many people that i know follow boxing. Depends when it gets announced and how well the promotion is honestly. Alot of people just watch "big fights". I'll probably watch it but couldn't care less if it gets made or not
