I think who ever breaks thier opponent down to the body more will win a decision. Morales goes to the body alot more than Pac does so I might give him the edge. This fight is really hard for me to choose because I can see several ways the fight can go down.
That has always been a thing, though. Morales goes to the body, but not nearly as effectively as Barrera. For the most part, I can't see body punching being that big a factor in the fight.

I think Morales is alot better on the inside that Pacquiao is. I don't see Pac winning a fight where he stays in Morales chest because Morales moves and gives angles while shooting the uppercut followed by the righthand like he did against Hernandez. Barrera was able to stay in Morales chest because he is a much better inside fighter than Pacquiao, Jesus Chavez and Hernandez plus he went to the body.

I think body punching can be a huge factor if either fighter goes in thinking to throw to the body early. Both fighters are expecting each other to go for alot of headshots and both fighters have enough power to hurt the other. Bodypunching will slow down thier opponent and take away some of that punching power plus in Morales case it could slow down the upper body movement of Pacquiao. If Pacquiao focuses on the body he can setup alot more head shots for himself by making Morales worry about protect his body.

Erik Morales' height makes him unable to consistently throw left hooks to the body. His best bet is to stay on the outside and throw that straight right to the body.

It really don't matter how he goes to the body he just has to go to the body especially to slow down the upperbody movement of Pacquiao. If the fight stays on the outside then Morales is going to have to overwork the jab because shot for shot he won't be able to beat Pacquiao because is just simply too fast. Morales is going to have to fight his ass off either way and back Pacquiao up and keep him backing up. Same goes for Pac because both fighters aren't too good when going backwards.

true but morales fights going backwards better than pacman does. eric was going back quite a bit in the chavez fight and he even knocked him down twice while jesus was rushing him. pac still has to be cautious when charging morales cause eric is always dangerous no matter how he fights

I know Pac has too be careful because when he lunges in the uppercut should be waiting for him. The uppercut should also be the main weapon Morales uses. The uppercut will actually be a bigger weapon than the right hand because Pac lunges in. Plus like I said earlier Morales can give angles when being pressured like Hernandez tried to do but when faced with a good inside fighter he isn't all that good. Pacquiao isn't a good inside fighter and that is a good thing for Morales but he is fast enough to do some of the things Hernandez and Chavez couldn't while pressuring Morales.
