Well to be honest Francis pretty much knocked out everyone in the division there's only 2 options since Jon Jones is pricing himself out Cyril Gane who is trained by his former trainer so they could sell it as bad blood and Derrick Lewis the only other person in the UFC to beat him which Francis openly denied wanting the rematch already passed it up so I could see this fight taking place money talks.

Lmao I'M FROM THE UK. Dillian is a ****ing nobody everywhere else on the planet and you are both completely delusional if you think otherwise. Hes a B tier HW whos got 434k followers on IG, the Whyte/Povetkin rematch did 200k buys at a 20 quid price point in the UK while being given away for 1.99 a month everywhere else. These are not international star numbers.

World sport my ass, more people globally are watching the UFC on a typical weekend than a ****ing Matchroom card with Dillian main eventing. Whyte is not walking into ****ing UFC title shots off the back of his name, thats completely preposterous. If it was AJ or Fury or even Wilder it'd be a different story.

Why would Francis fight a bum like Whyte? Dude has never won a European belt, let alone a world title.

Whyte was a decent kickboxer and I’ve seen a photo of him in a BJJ gi (not sure what belt he is).

He’s got much more of a chance than Fury or Joshua,

Yeah he does actually match up fairly well with Francis stylistically because Frank is basically a big puncher with good enough takedown defence to force people to stand with him.

Problem for Dillian is, the UFC aint letting him walk straight into title shots. And on the way hes probably gonna run into someone that will take him down and stop him.

They did the same thing when Kermit Cintron said he would fight in the UFC. Citron was a good wrestler and wanted Sherk, but Dana wouldn't have it.

He's still looking at it, by now though I wouldn't think he could good, he's a shadow of his former self.

I'm not sure a guy who had a wrestling background + high level boxing managing to win in the UFC would shatter any mystique. He would literally be using a mix of martial arts to win. Its no mystery that a guy with great boxing and great defensive grappling is probably going to be a handful, there just arent many of those guys around.

Yup. He wouldn't match up well against a wrestler. Although if you are naturally strong and athletic it wouldn't take that long to become effective at defence wrestling. I think many decent boxers would do well in MMA if they spent a few years learning TDD, BJJ and kicks. The thing is that UFC doesn't pay fighters as well as boxers so it wouldn't make financial sense to do so.

Can you imagine a 25 year old GGG leaving boxing and dedicating himself to MMA? After 4-5 years he'd be purple belt BJJ, have solid TDD and would knock all UFC fighters out with a single punch.

Til Francis gots a fight booked that isn't JBJ I wouldn't say JBJ is pricing himself out. But there are a year's worth of opponents out there currently & if you do a crossover fight I'd argue it's vs Fury or AJ not Whyte right now.

True they are still working on it and it could happen so you're right there but I don't think Fury or AJ would crossover to UFC Whyte would because of his background in kickboxing and having trained a little MMA for one fight in the past.

Fury already did pro wrasslin so I think he'd do some cross over sh^t if the price is right. And idk that I think AJ is THAT above doing it for the right price although he'd be a harder sell.
