Khalil Coe Signs Multi-Fight Deal With Matchroom/DAZN

Love this signing right here. Coe is a little older compared to other US prospects that turn pro but there is definitely talent there. He started out late but made his name when he stopped the Cuban amateur standout Julio Cesar La Cruz in the first round.

I made this thread about three years ago:

Fair to say I was very high on him three years ago lol. Didn't follow him as closely after that but hopefully he lives up to his potential.

Never heard much about him tbh. Admittedly I don’t follow the international amateur scene like I used to. Did he box in any of the top tournaments? Stopping La Cruz is an impressive win, didn’t know about that.

Not in many I don't think. That was considered a big tournament when he stopped La Cruz but seems like he caught a few losses shortly after.

Wonder who he is training with?

No clue who tf that is. Matchroom USA has a lot of undercard guys and few headliners. They're going to have to adjust that ratio.

Good Signing! Coe was a excellent Amateur best known for knocking Cuban Stand Out Julio La Cruz a couple of years ago

After that he just kind of disappeared from Amateur and I later found out it was because he was locked up unfortunately. Good opportunity to turn his life around, good luck to him. A bit similar to Ammo Williams in terms of style

I only really watch the Olympics, Worlds and Europeans nowadays, was wondering why I hadn’t really heard of him.

Must have a lot of naturally ability though to beat a guy like La Cruz without having extensive international experience.

Wouldn’t have a clue who’ll train him tbh mate.
