Mosley's better in a slugfest and against brawlers than more technical boxers. Mosley himself fights more like a brawler, although an extremely physically gifted one rather than the stereotypical "will over skill" brawler.Comment

Mosley didn't hurt his career at all in the Margarito fight. Other guys at welterweight, and also Paul Williams, appear willing to fight Shane. Mosley wants to fight either Pacquiao or Mayweather, and Pac and Mayweather most likely want to fight each other rather than Mosley. Mosley will have to wait, as he seems to always be for a Mayweather fight, as other guys in his promotional company get the fight with Floyd over Shane (no I don't buy the dentist excuse at all).
If Mosley hadn't fought Margarito or had won a gift decision or something, he still wouldn't be all that high on the radar of the big names. Arum can keep things in-house at TR with Pacquiao-Cotto. I don't think Mayweather would want to fight Mosley right away after the layoff regardless if Mosley had only looked average against the Plastered Bastard.Comment

Cotto-Mosley was the most uncontroversial "controversial" decision since, well, Mayweather-De La Hoya.Comment

No, it didn't hurt his career he can still get fights.......just not the ones He wants right now. Those fighters are involved in more marketable endeavors. Shane just doesn't want to take a lower payday than he feels he deserves. Speaking of which why hasn't he made a mandatory defense of his WBA title?Comment
