all he has to do is call out and beat either Porter, Thurman or Garcia and he would be the mandatory for any of the belts.

Ennis and Vergil Ortiz are not getting any title shots unless it's mandated and Spence or Crawford has to decide to fight them or vacate the belt. PBC has a near monopoly on 147 with 3 of the 4 belts and a half dozen top ranked guys who have already been exposed and lost. PBC has a lot of influence with the ABC belts so despite loses and fans wanting to see these guys fight Crawford or next generation like Ennis or Ortiz we are not getting these mandated fights. Instead these same flawed fighters are being recycled in pointless round robin fights that the ABC sanctions. If Crawford for years couldn't get Spence or even one of the lower tier PBC recycled opponents to fight him Ennis and Ortiz surely won't. If boxing didn't have these roadblocks we would be getting Crawford vs Spence and Garcia/Thurman vs Ortiz and Ugas/Porter vs Ennis instead of Spence vs Ugas and Crawford vs TBD

A real shame that even though a lot of like Crawford and a lot of us like Spence, none of us expect either of them to fight Ennis or Ortiz.

Ennis' team should petition for an IBF title eliminator since he just destroyed their #3 ranked fighter

Beating Lip doesnt earn you a championship fight, Boots. Lip's best days were at 140. Same goes for Ortiz when he beat Hooker, whose best days were at 140. Fight a real WW, in the top 10 and the boxing world will see if both of you are everything everyone is hoping you are.

Two guys people love to boast about being top welterweights but never take any real fights outside of the thrumpings they take in their championship fights. These two guys could have easily lost to various other fighters, that’s how flawed they are, despite being consistently recycled into fights for belts, if anything, these two have some dues to pay to “earn” another shot at a championship. Not coming off ***ing Formella.

You pay your dues by becoming mandatory like everyone else.

Boxing is still a bu$iness. Unless you are bringing $$$$ to the table no one is going to entertain you unless of course you are the mando.

Vergil Ortiz already won the WBA 147 Gold belt (which is supposed to guarantee you a mandatory title shot with the WBA). He won the WBA Gold back back on Aug/2019 and it's April 2021 and they haven't given him a mandatory shot. Before Hooker Ortiz was already the WBO #2 ranked at 147 and fought Hooker who was the WBO #8 ranked. Porter for some strange reason is ranked higher then Ortiz with WBO despite never having anything to do with the WBO and having lost his last fight. How is Ortiz supposed to move up higher then #2? He's already the WBA Gold champ that's why he's no longer in the WBA rankings so he can't move any higher in their rankings. He's talking about fighting Crawford because the WBA with all their belts refuses to make him mandatory 2 years after winning their Gold belt. WBC had Ortiz #4 before beating Hooker even with a win he hasn't moved still behind Porter, Thurman, Mikey Garcia. Thurman hasn't fought in 2 years how is he even ranked. Porter coming off a loss to Spence how is he still number 1 ranked to fight Spence? Guys like Porter, Garcia, Thurman keep getting shots at 147 belts because they are in the PBC ecosystem and the ABC belts just keep sanctioning it. These guys should all be fighting Ortiz and Ennis to earn title shots instead they just keep recycling title shots or win vacant belts like Ugas for beating Able Ramos?

If you don't want Ortiz and Ennis to get fight the world champs then force the next level tier to fight them. Instead those guys just keep losing and getting title shots without having to fight Ortiz and Ennis. They are being ducked by the world champs and the top contenders.
