based on your ignorance, you have no idea about boxing history. Vitali was given the ring belt earlier in the decade, but he wasn't the linear champion. The Ring belt USUALLY follows the linear title path, but not always, and Vitali got it for fighting Kirk Johnson, who was a top 5 heavyweight, but not the number 2 heavyweight at the time. It was the only time the Ring gave it's belt to a non champion in the heavyweight ranks. Right now, the Light Heavyweight linear champion in Zsolt Erdei, however he obviously isn't the ring champion, but he is THE CHAMPION at LHW. Well, at least until he fights someone with a pulse.
